My position on children's clothing is that it MUST be comfortable, durable and adorable. Price is notably absent as a top three factor. To be frank, I believe you get what you pay for. You can buy inexpensive clothes that won't last two delicate cycles. Or, you can pay a premium for high quality and spend less over the long term.
One particular clothing line that meets my stringent criteria is Daily Tea play clothes from Tea Collection. Leighton has been stylishly Tea-clad since birth.
Not only are the 100% cotton clothes comfy and well-made. The rich, colorfast prints are inspired by various places around the world. The Tea tagline is For Little Citizens of the World. Right now, Korea's Jeju Island is the locus of design focus.
At Tea, brand creativity is on par with corporate mindfulness. According to the company's website: We approach our work with humility and purpose, authenticity and creativity. We offer products that are real—combining distinctive style with ease of use, accessibility with business objectives, and meaningful intent with enduring quality. We educate through awareness and inspire social responsibility through our genuine concern for the world.
Our current favorite for girls is the Denim Knit Bootcut Pant made to look like jeans. The boy counterpart is called the Denim Knit Pant. They're so cool and ridiculously comfortable - the benfit of jeans while avoiding the discomfort and stiffness denim can dish out. Even though Tea runs true to size, I bought these one size up and roll them for now. They look stylish either way and will last even longer.
While Daily Tea is the playwear line, Tea Collection does have fancier schmancier duds too - equally comfortable but pricier for certain. I can't pull up the site without placing an order. We love it too darn much.
We're sure you'll love Tea too. Use promo code TEA4ME at checkout to receive 10% off your next order.
