We had a rough time after the swaddling period was over so I resorted to nursing baby to sleep. Now I've gotten myself into another predicament but what the heck, I say do what it takes to get your baby to sleep and deal with the consequences, if any, later. :)

I remember when I was pregnant with my first and my girlfriend told me that she and her two sons slept in her bed and often caused her husband to roll out onto the floor. I stared at her with mouth open, thinking how could she have possibly let that happen. Hadn't she ever seen an episode of Super Nanny? 6 years and two kids later it wouldn't make me bat an eye.

There are no restrictions on consoling a baby so everyone can sleep. Yes, they tend to learn early on it is much better to sleep with mom and dad - eventually though, they do move into their own bed and the time you shared laying with them will be a fond memory.

Hope everyone gets well soon!
